Custom WordPress plugins

You searched for the plugin and none of them does exactly what you need

That is the moment to stop browsing the directory. We write the plugin that does exactly what your operation asks for, inside the WordPress you already have, with no yearly license and without dragging along fifty features nobody will use.

It does your thing and nothing else It does not touch the theme or the core: the site stays updatable Two engines of our own already running in production

What actually happens

The directory takes you so far, and your case starts right after that

Almost nobody decides on custom development on day one. You get there after installing, testing and discarding. These are the three stops along that road.

01

You installed three and none of them goes all the way

Each one does most of it, and what is missing is precisely what your process needs. The gap ends up being closed by hand every single day.

02

The closest one is billed yearly and cannot be touched

A recurring per-site license, closed code, and a support reply saying that is not on the roadmap. You pay to keep waiting.

03

Eleven add-ons holding up one single feature

Each with its own updates and its own author. They step on each other, nobody dares to update, and an un-updated WordPress is the door left open.

The decision

When to buy and when to write it

Not everything has to be custom-built. A directory plugin that does the job well and is kept maintained is the cheap, sensible option. Below is the line we use to recommend one or the other.

A plugin of your own

Worth it when the process is yours and looks like nobody else's

  • The behavior you need does not exist in any add-on
  • The data has to go out to your ERP, your CRM or your billing
  • It is built once, the code is yours and there is no yearly license
  • When something changes in your operation, it is adjusted when you decide

This page is part of software development: a plugin of your own is custom development, it just lives inside WordPress.

Why us

It would not be the first plugin we have written

We have two WordPress engines of our own in production. We did not buy them and we do not resell them: we wrote them because what was in the directory was not enough for what we needed to do.

Email marketing engine

Campaigns and segmentation on the site's own user base, with open and click tracking and bounce detection, without exporting lists to another tool.

Funnel engine

Multi-step funnels with double opt-in, automated follow-up and source attribution for every contact.

That engine is a service of ours today: you can see it in email marketing and sales funnels, or look at the systems where they run today.

What we build

The three requests we get most

We always start with what has to happen in your operation, not with the code. That is what tells us whether the plugin is a small piece or a module with its own admin panel.

Behavior that does not exist in the directory

Your own pricing rule, an approval flow, a calculation that only makes sense in your business. With its own admin screen so your team can run it without calling us.

The bridge to the system you work in

So what happens on the site reaches your ERP, your CRM or your billing, and the other way around. It is the same work as systems integration, solved from inside WordPress.

Replacing a plugin that has run out of road

When the add-on has been abandoned, raised its price or is blocking updates: we write the replacement and bring over the data it already held, without starting from scratch.

Scope

What defines the work before we give you a number

We do not give a figure before understanding the scope, because a made-up number turns into an argument later. These are the four points that move it.

What it has to do, told as a process

Who uses it, what data goes in and what has to be on record at the end. That story defines the plugin better than any feature list.

Whether it has to talk to another system

A plugin that lives inside WordPress is one thing. One that also keeps the data up to date in your ERP is another, and it is designed differently.

What exists today and what gets kept

If there is already an add-on with information inside it, we review what can be brought over and what gets left behind before writing a single line.

Who maintains it afterwards

We can hand it over documented to your team or stay in charge ourselves. Better decided up front, not when the PHP version changes.

In the diagnostic we walk through these four points, and out of that comes a proposal with the scope in writing. Book a free assessment.

Fit

When something else suits you better

What you need is the whole site, not one piece

If the site has to be rebuilt, or you need member areas, payments or training, that is a website project and we handle it in WordPress development for companies. This page is only about the functionality the directory does not cover.

A plugin that does your thing already exists

If you found one that fits, is kept maintained and is priced right for you, use it. We will tell you so in the diagnostic even if it means there is no project.

Questions

What clients ask before we start

Do I own the plugin?

Yes. The code is handed over and installed on your site. If you work with another team one day, you can pass it on without asking anyone permission.

Will it break with the next WordPress update?

It is written using the core APIs, without modifying the theme or the WordPress files. That is why the site keeps updating: it is the exact opposite of a theme hacked from the inside.

Why a plugin and not a theme modification?

Because the functionality should not die the day you change the design. A plugin survives a theme change; whatever is written inside the theme leaves with it.

Can you adjust or extend a plugin we already bought?

Sometimes. If its license allows it, it can be extended without touching its internals. When the only way out is modifying its code, we say so: that leaves the plugin unable to update and usually ends up costing more than writing your own.

Do you publish it in the WordPress directory?

Not by default. What we build for a client is installed on their site and not distributed, unless they want otherwise.

And if it works well and later we want more?

It gets added. A plugin of your own grows in parts: you start with what unblocks the operation and the rest comes later, when it makes sense.

Next step

Tell us what you searched for and which plugin you could not find

With that we will tell you whether one already solves it, whether the one you have can be extended, or whether writing your own is the way. No commitment, and no selling you development you do not need.
